Dressing for Success

Maternity Clothing. Every morning we have a ritual in our apartment. I stand in front of my diminishing wardrobe, choose a maternity bottom (jeans, grey cords, black pants, grey skirt or tan khakis) and attempt to choose a top. Sometimes I get lucky and the top I want to wear is still long enough to cover my tummy. Sometimes I can add a tank underneath and still get away with it. And sometimes off it goes and into the "not anymore" bin. Thanks to one of my aunts I have found Old Navy maternity tanks which has increased the number of shirts I can still handle.

I am actually nervous for the day when maternity tops and dresses is all I can get away with. At least we planned this one so that once I get really big it should be warm outside. Apparently most pregnant women get hot flashes during their pregnancy. This is not a side effect I am having so mostly I just freeze in the thin maternity clothing in our 27 degree winter weather in DC. I wonder what women in Alaska wear?

Do they make pregnant people snow suits? How funny!

Side Note: I googled maternity snowsuits after writing this post and found this- http://www.mountain-mama.com/ Activewear for pregnant mommies.
